Latest updates regarding COVID-19

We are open!

As you may have already heard, the Hall is now open once again! We have now had a number of groups of varying sizes stay in the hall. It has been so wonderful to hear the sound of praise and laughter echoing through the Hall these last few weeks and we can’t wait to welcome more of you here over the coming months.

Thank you for all your support over the last 18 months, we know that many of you have been praying for the work here at Sizewell Hall. Please pray for us as a staff team as we get back into the swing of having groups in the hall again and please also pray for all the groups that are visiting in the coming months. God has already been working so clearly in the lives of our guests over the last few weeks and we can’t wait for many more lives to be impacted as you all begin to visit the hall once again.

Cottage and Bungalow Bookings

We are excited to now be able to take bookings for our cottage and bungalow here on site. They are both great value ways to still have a beachside holiday in 2021, with amazing grounds and picturesque walks right on your doorstep!

Hall Cancellation Policy for 2021

In light of the above projections and as we move into a period where churches/groups may have to cancel for the second year in a row, we wanted to clarify our cancellation policy for 2021.

There will be no minimum charge for groups/churches who have to cancel due to the following COVID-19 related reasons:
– Government regulations forbid large gatherings/conferences
– The Church/Group is uncertain about whether they are able to visit due to the pandemic
– The Church/Group doesn’t have enough people booked or interested in attending due to the pandemic

We understand the uncertainty that groups and individuals may have in booking, but we would encourage groups to book, recognising that the financial risk of cancellation is reduced.

We are very grateful to all the groups and churches who chose to make a donation despite having to cancel their booking in 2020. If your group is in a position to make a donation towards the cost of any cancelled weekend in 2021 this would be greatly appreciated. However, we understand that the finances of groups and churches will have also been impacted by the pandemic. Of course, our preference would be for you to come to the Hall if you can.

We are so very grateful for the incredible amount of support we received from you in 2020. Since we released our November newsletter, we have raised just over £60,000 to ensure we can remain in operation through to July. Thank you for your amazing generosity, prayers and messages of support! We have entered 2021 with optimism about the future and we hope that the end of heavy restrictions is in sight. However, while we live with lockdowns and restrictions, the long term future of Sizewell Hall remains uncertain.
