I, Helen became a Christian at Sizewell in March 1976 on one of Nigel Taylor’s weekends when I saw God’s love evident in others who were there. I remember the quiet time from the Saturday morning, led by Sarah Shipley (who is now with the Lord). It was about Peter walking on water to Jesus and sinking because he took His eyes off Jesus. As a teenager, I was searching for love that would not let me down and found it in Jesus. I subsequently joined West Road Church and was active in the youth group. I was also involved in helping out a little at some of Nigel and Victor’s tent missions, also continuing to attend Sizewell houseparties over several years. They were a key part of my growth as a Christian. Later, Alex, my husband attended too. We helped as leaders on CYM summer houseparties. Eventually, we went to Bible College and served the Lord overseas for almost 10 years with Arab World Ministries: Sizewell teaching helped to shape our call to mission . Our children, as missionary kids, then attended the Suffolk Camps when we were home. More recently, I had the privilege of taking our granddaughter to family camp. Such a blessing for all generations!
