Christmas Crafts Update
We hope you are well and looking forward to the Christmas Crafts Break.
As you might expect we have been taking our time to review the updated government guidance on mask wearing that comes into force today. Based on the guidance we are excited to say that the event is able to go ahead, however we will have to introduce a few additional measures to keep everyone safe and comply with the latest restrictions.
As you will have seen masks are now required in most indoor settings where you are mixing with people you don’t normally meet, this means you will need to bring a mask with you as these will be required in communal areas. There are a few exceptions to this, you won’t be required to wear a mask while eating, drinking or singing. There is a special provision within the restrictions for organised singing so we will still be able to enjoy the carol singing to its fullest. Of course you will also not be required to wear a mask in your rooms and if you have a medical condition or disability that prevents you from safely wearing a face covering then you are exempt from these restrictions. We also ask that everyone would please be respectful to those who are unable to wear a mask for these reasons.
If you are able to, please also take a lateral flow test before coming and stay at home if you have any symptoms or a positive test result.
There are other provisions around the hall in terms of hand sanitiser and wipes in bathrooms etc that we will highlight in full in the welcome presentation.
We are disappointed to have to introduce mask wearing at this event but we have a really exciting break planned and we are sure that it will be a very enjoyable few days together.
Please also remember to bring a towel as this isn’t provided, but if you do forget to bring a towel or mask we will have some available for you.
